Story:
Harish Chandra Prasad (Balakrishna – old) is a man who dedicates his life to serve poor people in the Rayalaseema region. He tries to lift the poor people financially. In this process, he attracts foreign investors to set up a huge iron ore project in the region so that many people will get job. During the process of land acquisition for the project, he earns lot of enemies. The local politicians and faction leaders occupies the Government land and will not allow Harish Chandra Prasad to get the land. He then enters into politics for social service and to fight against baddies.
His son Rama Krishna Prasad (Balakrishna – middle) follows his father foot steps and protects him from villains. Harish Chandra Prasad's own grand son, Babi (Balakrishna - young) kills his grand father unknowingly under the influence of baddies at a young age.
After 25 years, Babi meets his family but interestingly, his father does not accept him. What happens next? How the political issues will be resolved by Babi. What happens to Rama Krishan Prasad. Will he accepts his son is rest of the story.
Performances:
Balakrishna played 3 characters in the movie as Grand father, father and son. He carried out all of them with grace. Harish Chandra Prasad character is good but the character is very shot. The makeup in this character is good. Rama Krishna Prasad character is the heart of the movie. Babi character is good. However, other than the old getup, the makeup of rest of the two characters is bad. Especially, the costumes of young Balakrishna is not up to the mark in few scenes.
Lakshmi Rai has limited role in the movie and offered skin show. Her character is limited in few scenes and songs.
Saloni does a guest role in the movie. Her character is limited for a song and a scene.
Jayasudha was good. She played as wife to Harish Chandra Prasad. Pradeep Rawat, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Murali Sharma did their job well as baddies.
Brahmanandham as a mental patient had evoked thunderous response. The comedy scenes between Brahmanandham and Babi will stand as a highlight of the movie.
Venu Madhav and Murali Sharma are wasted.
Analysis:
Adhinayakudu has a decent story line. The basic story of the film is very simple and the director Parachuri Murali had managed to create high voltage action drama in Rayalaseema back drop. Director planned the movie in a routine manner with entertainment in the first half and flashback episodes along with violence and family sentiments in the second half.
Director tried to make the movie universally appealing with some family drama rather than attracting only mass audience. However, narrating the story is a little bit lag. The screenplay of the movie is not up to the mark. There are many unnecessary scenes in the movie which are of no use. As usual logic in few scenes are missed.
One of the highlight of the movie is the introduction scene of Rama Krishna Prasad. His punch dialogues which resembles satires on few politicians will be liked by the fans. Balakrishna action in the getup as Harish Chandra Prasad is another highlight.
Kalyani Mallik's music and background score are average except in 2 songs. Especially, the title song is pictured well on screen. Few dialogues written by Paruchuri Murali are good.
Final Word:
Adhinayakudu is a decent film for Balakrishna fans as he is seen in 3 different getups. Good punch dialogues which resembles current political scenario in AP and a comedy track will be liked by audience.
